Avancées de l'endoscopie interventionelle en oncologie thoracique

Ces dernières années, l’endoscopie interventionnelle a subi des avancées importantes, notamment dans le domaine de l’oncologie. La technologie a permis de développer non seulement les abords diagnostiques mais également thérapeutiques.

Dans cette revue de la littérature, nous développerons, au niveau diagnostique l’abord médiastinal endoscopique avec l’echoendoscopie bronchique (EBUS) et l’approche des nodules pulmonaires de l’endoscopie simple à l’endoscopie robotique.  Au niveau thérapeutique, nous abordons l’intérêt de la bronchoscopie rigide dans la désobstruction des voies aériennes principales qui pourrait changer le pronostic du patient.

In recent years, interventional endoscopy has made significant advances, particularly in thoracic oncology. The used technological tools have enabled the development of not only diagnostic but also therapeutic approaches. In this literature review, we will address the diagnostic level through discussing the endoscopic mediastinal approach with endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and the approach to pulmonary nodules, from simple endoscopy to robotic endoscopy. At the therapeutic level, we will be discussing the value of rigid bronchoscopy in the relief of airway obstruction of the main airways, which could improve patient’s prognosis.
